The Winthrop PAC is excited to bring our first fundraising performance of the year to the Winthrop PAC stage. We welcome local Broadway performer, and former Winthrop High School alumni, Scott Moreau, performing his original one man show, "My Life as the Man in Black." The show details his 20 year career traveling the world and performing as Johnny Cash. Scott recounts tales from the road, personal anecdotes, and gets to play some songs he doesn't typically perform in his other shows, such as Folsom Prison Blues, I Walk The Line, Ring Of Fire, A Boy Named Sue, Strawberry Cake, The Man Comes Around and his epitaph, Hurt. We are also excited to welcome Scott to talk with our high school students the day before the show. This show is a fundraiser for our Light Up the Stage Capital Campaign and we hope you will join us for this special event.

The show will be performed on Friday October 9, 2026 at 7pm at the Winthrop PAC, 211 Rambler Rd, Winthrop, ME 04364. Tickets are $20 each, and can be purchased online ahead of time or at the door. All proceeds will directly support our fundraising efforts to replace the PAC lighting system.

Winthrop High School is launching their Light Up the Stage Capital Campaign for the 2026-2027 school year. We hope to raise 105,000 in donations and fundraising through various means including direct donations, corporate donation, grant funding, and fundraising events. We hope that our community will support us in reaching our three main goals. There has been a reported widespread electrical outage in Winthrop, including at all three of our schools. Due to not having access to running water, we are doing an early dismissal. Middle and high school students will be sent home immediately, and then the elementary students. Grade school students will be dismissed around two o clock. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope to have power restored by tomorrow.

Online Forms for the 2026–27 School Year 💻

We’re making things a little easier this year! Families can complete our Economic Status Form as well as the Internet & Laptop Use Form online instead of filling out paper forms.

For All Students PK–12:
The Economic Status Form helps determine state and federal funding received by Winthrop Public Schools, as well as eligibility for certain grants and programs. Every family is encouraged to complete this form.

For Middle & High School Students:
Students must complete the Internet & Laptop Use Form before accessing and/or taking their school-issued laptop home.
